Sopho Khelashvili joined Georgian Co-Investment Fund in 2014, shortly after its establishment, as a Financial Analyst in the Risk Analysis Department. She has 14 years of experience in financial modeling, valuation, risk analysis and research. Sopho now holds the position of Senior Associate. Over the years, she has played a key role in establishing the company investment guidelines, including determining the project review and approval process, defining project risk assessment checklist for each sector, structuring Investment Memorandums and writing financial modeling guidelines. More recently, she has played a major role in leading several significant transactions.
Prior to Georgian Co-investment Fund, Sopho worked with the Bank of Georgia Group, namely the Research Department of Bank of Georgia and BG Capital (both now Galt & Taggart) for up to four years in the field of research and capital markets. Before joining the Bank of Georgia Group, Ms. Khelashvili completed internships at Reed Midem (Paris, France) and Merrill Lynch (NY, USA).
She holds a bachelor’s degree in international business, with dual concentration in Finance and Marketing, from Northeastern University (Boston, USA).
